TITAN TOWN - Mark the date for Oct. 6 as Grand Terrance High School’s first “Up and Coming Dance” is set to provide many attractions.
“It is going to be amazing,” said Activities Director Leilani Bautista.
There will be a photo booth to capture moments, karaoke to sing favorite tunes, and food. In addition, there will be carriage rides, Ms. Bautista said.
The duke will be crowned at the Up and Coming Dance at 10 p.m. due to the possibility of the duke being a football player and tied up at the game. The duchess will be crowned at the Up and Coming Game the day before on Oct. 5.
Due to there being no seniors this year, a duke and duchess will replace the traditional king and queen.
The Up and Coming Dance will be a Grecian theme. But, like every other school a strict dress code will be in effect. No jeans, sneakers, or t-shirts for gentlemen. Remember to dress to impress boys. Ladies will have to make sure their dresses are an appropriate length.
Starting Sept. 17 students can purchase tickets to the dance for $20 with an ASB card or $25 without the ASB card but only until Sept. 28. Beginning on Oct.1 through Oct.4 tickets will increase to $30, Ms. Bautista said. The dance will go from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Students must have a permission slip to attend the dance, which can be acquired at the student store. Those with guests that do not attend GTHS are required to have a permission slip and guest pass.
