La Liga BBVA, the Spanish Premier League
In the 10th week of the BBVA league, we have seen a lot of great soccer matches and amazing play by many of the athletes. Currently Barcelona FC stands in first place with 28 points and remains undefeated with 9 wins and a tie. Following Barcelona FC with 25 points is Atletico Madrid, goingon a great season so far with 8 wins a loss and a tie. In third place are the cup winners of last season, Real Madrid with 20 points, not trailing by much having won 6 games losing 2 matches, and tying twice.
In the top scores section is Barcelona’s Leonel Messi; the Argentinian sticker is in first place with 13 goals in 10 games, following him is Real Madrid’s Cristiano Radamel Falcao, the Colombian striker stands in third place with 10 goals. Other players who havemade the top scorer list are Aduriz, Higuain, Hemed, and Negredo all of whichare top preforming strikers.
The top goal keepers in the Spanish league have been playing superbly well. Willy Caballero of Malaga has only conceded 7 goals this season playing in 10 games. Iker Casillas the star goalie of the Spanish national team, now playing for real Madrid, has only allowed 7 goals this season also. Cortios of Atletico Madrid has only allowed 9 goals this season. Following these three keepers are Victor Valdez, Palop and Muya all allowing just over 10 goals.
This season Barcelona is expected to go all the way and win La Liga BBVA, but as we have seen both Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid are in the hunt for first place. With a remainder of 18 weeks Barcelona is still a long way from winning the title, but it is obvious that they have dominated in these first 10 weeks scoring 32 goals only conceding 12.
