On August 30th the PV high school class of 68’ had their 40th high school reunion. The class of 68’ was the first three-year high school class at PV.

“I remember that since we were the first sophomore class, our first job was to pick out the school mascot and school colors,” said Bryce Bramson.

PV has grown a lot between 1968 and 2008. In 1968 there were approximately 750 students; currently there are over 2000 students attending PV.

Besides the number of students at Pleasant Valley, the location makes it more accessible to the consumer market than ever.

“We were never able to go off campus, but there wasn’t any place around to go and eat at anyways and there was not a lot of buildings, we had a few buildings, not all the portables that are there now.” said Ronald Lechner.

Some students already have ideas about their future high school reunions.

“I think it would be exciting, and I am sure it would be surprising to see old friends,” said current sophomore Rachel Mitchell “I think the thing that really surprised me was that I thought, when I came back for my reunion, it would be really hard to tell the girls apart, because hair styles and colors change, but the girls were the easiest to recognize and the guys were the hard ones. The guys would loose weight, gain weight, go gray or lose their hair, so the guys were the hardest to recognize. Also a lot of the kids that were real bright stars in high school kind of faded out and the kids on the edge ended up being the doctors or lawyers,” said 1968 graduate Dave Bosserman.

40 years later, these PV alumni still remember their experiences at PV and are happy to share their experiences with current PV students
