Laura Perez is a normal senior who is proud of what she has accomplished so far, as she has had difficult obstacles thrown her way. Laura has not given up in what she believes in. She is now 18, and about to walk across the graduation stage in just a few weeks.
Laura was raised in Oasis; her origin is Sonora, Mexico. When Laura first came to the United States, she was only three years old. Ever since then, she has lived in the Coachella Valley. She attended Oasis Elementary, Toro Canyon Middle School, and is about to finish Desert Mirage High School. She is not involved in any clubs or sports, but contributes to the school newspaper, the RamPage, and loves to have fun with her peers.
When Laura walks across the stage, the only things that will cross her mind are the memories she has created at Desert Mirage High School, making her friends and family proud and proving to everyone that she made it. Laura has three siblings, one younger brother, who is thirteen, and two younger sisters, one who is ten and the other is seventeen. If everything goes as planned, Laura will be attending College of the Desert in August, where she will major in psychology, and hopes to transfer in two years to a college of her dreams. Congratulations Laura on what you have accomplished, and we wish you the best in your life!
