Senior Class President Struggles with Political Addiction
-
Determined and energetic Senior, Michael Feldman, is the class of 2009’s Senior Class President. Although he can't vote, the politically-fueled student shares with us his message for the school. As Class President, Michael faces many responsibilities and feels as though he’s right for the job.

To start off, I’d love to hear more about who you are as a person. What are your interests? OMG, I have a lot of interests. I tend to go from one obsession to another. I really enjoy politics, books, history, music, and theatre.

What does a senior class president do? For right now, I’m in charge of our senior Homecoming float, and later in the year, I’ll have more responsibilities.

What do you plan on getting out of this experience? I really plan on getting to know the grade better! I also plan on winning the float this year and showing that the class of 09’ is by far the best.

What was your reaction when you found out you had been chosen as one of the leaders of this school? I was honored--it felt good to know that others supported me and that I could aid in really making this a fun year for our class.

Who is vice president? Do you think the two of you will get everything done? Zach Paxton, yes he’s a cool kid! He has great ideas, and I think we’ll get a lot done working together.

We all know about your deep admiration for politics, especially when it comes to the Democratic Party. Do you plan on being president some day? As someone who has an interest in politics, one of the things I have learned is to never reveal your ambitions. As of right now, I don’t plan on running!

What did you like least about the class presidency last year, and do you think you can make a better difference? I believe that there’s always room for improvement, but I’m not one on pointing out other's flaws. This year the float contest will move us from third to first.

What is your weakness? I truly feel that others will use my weaknesses against me if I reveal them to you. On the exterior, I am so perfect that no one really knows where to attack me. HA!
