With all the hustle and bustle of school work, after school activities, finals and the added stress of the holiday season, we tend to overlook small things that assist us in our hectic day to day lives. Small favors like a tardy slip to get into class on a icy winter morning, making sure you have a current physical for athletics, or even just a simple hello have a nice day from a friendly face.
It is the Holy Family assistant support staff that help with the "behind the scene"details and tasks that have to be accomplished in order for the success of a typical school day. With the closing of 2008 approaching quickly we would just like to say thank you for all that you do!
Amanda Gallegos- Holy Family receptionist/ administrative assistant:
"You never get a second chance to make a first impression." Ms. Amanda Gallegos is Holy Family’s first impression. Besides being the "Telephone Guru" of the school, said Interim Principal Mike G. Gabriel, Gallegos also has an outstanding knowledge of computers and the ability to work with all types of people. Gallegos is one of 18 alumni to return Holy Family.
"It is always fun to have students come back because they know what the Holy Family experience is all about," said Gabriel.
Kathy Martinez- Registrar:
Ms. Kathy Martinez has worked here at Holy Family for almost 21 years. Having the longest history with the school, her job encompasses many tasks, which include sending out report cards and progress reports, as well as assisting Mrs. Dolores Dean in Curriculum & Staff Development department by keeping the data system up to date. "It is truly imperative that we have everything in our demographics up to date and with out Ms. Martinez we wouldn’t be able to."
Tammy Medlin- Assistant to athletic director and development department:
Assistant to athletics in the morning, and by the afternoon Mrs. Tammy Medlin heads down the hall to Development to assist in anyway she can. She has done it all. With this year being Medlin’s third year as a part of the Holy Family staff, her job encompasses many aspects of the school. "She is busy all the time," said Development Director Patty Gabriel, "We see her as an equal, not as an assistant."
Lisa Persichitte- Assistant to interim principal:
"She really keeps things rollin," said Gabriel. Mrs. Lisa Persichitte handles all of Gabriel’s letters that need to be sent out, meeting schedules and "all of the stuff he doesn’t know how to do." Her outstanding people and computer skills only assist in planning for substitute teachers and fixing student passwords. Only working here for two years, Persichitte has an excellent background in administrative assistant work.
Francine Saulino- Assistant to business administrator and attendance:
This is Ms. Saulino’s fifth year at Holy Family. Though we don’t often see her, it is Saulino’s expertise in finding out where students are supposed to be and attention to detail that helps Business Administrator Mrs. Gloria Olson.
"Without [Saulino] I think I would have to spend the night here every night, she makes my job so much easier."
Dean appreciates the hard work of the entire office staff. "The success of the administration team depends on all these girls to keep the school up and running," said Dean.
