The Fallon Swing Club hosted their second annual Dancing with the Stars as a fundraiser event in late March. The event featured 10 couples in many different dance styles along with performances from the Competition Team, Performance Team, Junior Team, and the Fallon City Ballet.

            For their East Coast swing performance, Jesse Smith and Brad Barton won first place with a total score of 28.5 from the three judges. Mary Myers and Matthew Robinson tangoed their way into second with 28 points. Third place went to Sheriff Richard Ingram and Ileigh Williams for their country swing performance, ending with a total score of 27.

            Between 10 couples’ performances were performances from the Junior Team, Fallon City Ballet, Performance Team, and the Competition Team.

            The Junior Team’s game time performance, “Cha Cha ‘Jock Jam,’” was coached and choreographed by Wendy and Myke Nelsen.

            The Fallon City Ballet performed their piece called “Maple Leaf Rag” that featured five girls in blue, red, and black leotards.

            The Performance Team’s “Jump Jive” was coached by Britney and Courtney Edwards and choreographed by Sherri Rallison.

            The Competition Team was the last performance of the night. The team performed to “You Raise Me Up.”
