The Shakespeare Club's production of
The Complete Works of William Shakespeare Abridged
was absolutely amazing, as was the food provided by the culinary
class. The food was more than enough to delight your palate. Even with it being their first big event and a few minor catches, they served excellently, so we'll cut them some
slack.
Despite not having the auditorium to work in, and having to go without having the technical setup it would have, the play rolled as naturally as a conversation between the best of friends. Becky Palmer was slightly more difficult to see as she started the play, but she, as the other performers did when they arrived on stage, pulled it off and ensured that the overall performance of the play was unforgettable. Hilarious and school-appropriate, thanks to the skillful editing and direction of Shakespeare Company's valiant leaders, it was a privilege to view. Even where parts were taken out, the play still retained its overall sense of flow and great humor.
If you want to see the original, renting
the movie of The Complete Works of William Shakespeare
Abridged has been highly recommended by the actors, who loved performing it just as much as watching the movie themselves. The whole
experience was phenomenal, and we would love to attend something like
it again.
