If you are a fan of the restaurant Little Miss Muffin and Stuff, then make sure to check out their new location on East Main and Lacey Street. The restaurant has had a name change from Lil Miss Muffin and Stuff to Ms. Muffin's Cafe.
Laura Barrette is one of the co-owners. " We dropped the lil because we have grown up," said Barrette. For people that have never been at Little Miss Muffin and Stuff's, it’s a café restaurant that serves sandwiches, soups, coffee, and baked goods.
"We have been a caf'e for four years and eleven years as a business," said Barrette.
The business decided to open because they were getting calls for baked goods, so they decided to open the restaurant. "It was right to open because the both of us love to cook," said Barrette.
The catering business that they have along with the restaurant is booming. They do anything from weddings to graduations.
On Sundays, they have home-style cooked meals. The food that is made at the café is all home-made. They rarely use anything from a can.
Miss Muffin’s caf'e also specializes in cake decorating. "We only do small wedding cakes because of the time constraint, but otherwise we can pretty much do anything," said Barrette.
The building that the business that they moved into is bigger and will have a drive thru.
The grand opening was October 7th, 2010. Many students work there for a part time job.
The building seems to always have customers. If you have questions about the restaurant then you can contact them at (573)-204-1933 or email them at mmgood@muffinandstuff.com.
