They did it again! Our very own Boone Grove girls broke another record. These girls made it all the way to semi-state and beyond. Yes, they went to state. Just by making it to state they broke the record. This years 2011 bowling team is just going for it all. At state they placed 8th in their division. You can only imagine how they felt.
When they found out that they were going to state they were bawling. Even the coach was crying. The excitement and their nerves were just overwhelming. This whole season these girls have worked hard and stuck it out through the long practices, bad throws, blistered fingers, shoulder pains, and aching wrists. All in all these girls’ hard work has paid off.
When someone wanted to throw in the towel their teammates convinced them to stick it out and they did. These girls have come a long way to be where they are today. They put in the hours, sweat, and tears for this accomplishment.
Mattie Smith stated, "We ended up 8th in state and have nothing to be ashamed about. Next year we'll be unstoppable!" This years bowling team has made history that is going down in the books. This amazing team is made up of Natialie Morgavan, Becca LaFollette, Paige Kraushar, Angelique McKeny, Mattie Smith, Eleni Souronis, Haley Stienhilber, and Brianna Neumeister. Natalie Morgavan commented, "Definitely the farthest that bowling has ever gone at Boone Grove." All anyone can say about these girls is amazing job, keep up the hard work, and make our school proud.
