In society today, people see it as okay to openly say things that could be hurtful to others, which is not the case. It never has been. It's never been okay for kids to be bullied by another person, just because they're different or like other things. Bullying has become a huge problem because many teens are more judgmental now than they ever were before because of how society portrays things.
“There is a lot of aggression that is not dealt with in a good way. Bullying is more widespread now, mentally and physically. It is worse now than it was in the past,” said English teacher, Jamie Britt. There is a lot of anger in the world now stemming from many things in our every day world, and many kids don't know how to deal with their problems, which can lead to them bullying kids at school, or anywhere. A huge problem with being bullied or bullying others, is that most of the time they have no idea who to go and talk to for help, or to let all of their feelings out to. They feel as if they have no outlet to the world.

“I think that everyone is a bully and everyone has a reason as to why they are the way they are,” said sophomore, Ashley Ladd. Everyone at some point and time in his or her life has talked about another person, because teenagers today judge as soon as a new person is seen. Sometimes after one makes his or her first judgment on somebody he or she decide right then whether or not the person is “normal” or “weird”. That can lead to the start of bullying because they're different and one doesn’t wan to try and get to know the individual.

“I think bullying is wrong, they pick on other kids for their own satisfaction, I stick up for kids that get bullied,” said sophomore, Jessica Boyd. Most of the time other kids are afraid to stand up for others when they notice that they’re being bullied, so usually nothing is changing, because the person being bullied doesn’t want to tell an adult what’s going on. Sometimes the person that sees what’s going on is the victims’ only help. If someone is being bullied one should always find the nerve to tell an adult and try to stop the bullying. If no one is willing to help stop bulling it, nothing will ever change.
