Living in North Carolina the number one thing that pulls in tourists every year is the beach. But, when people live here all year, what do they enjoy about the beach? Many girls enjoy tanning, and a lot of guys enjoy surfing and things like that.
“I like tanning, and the summer clothes,” said sophomore, Jessica Boyd. A big out break in the tanning world now, is tanning salons. Many girls go all year round, thinking why would one wait until the beach weather to just go out and tan when you could do it all year long? The clothes in style for summer change every year. From tank tops, to skirts, to shorts, the simple things stay the same.
“I like the beach at night, because it's relaxing,” said sophomore, Beth Williams. The beach is a nice place to go at night, mostly because people can escape the crowds that would follow them during the day. Also, it's not as hot at night as it is during the day.
“Waves. I like the waves, because they're relaxing, and I like Britt's Donuts,” said freshman, Nicole Richardson. Many people wait for the hotter months for Britt's Donuts to open up for the famous donuts that they sell. The waves also tend to be very relaxing to people.
“The better question is what don't I like? My favorite things to do are reading, and relaxing, so if I can do that at the beach then it's just that much better,” said Spanish teacher, Jason Faircloth. If one could get away to a beach, why wouldn't they? It provides what most everyone wants. Relaxing sounds and sights, sunshine, and just being at the beach whenever you can.
