Newest folk duo Laura Mason and Bob Dylan -

When you walk through the halls of Danville High School you will hear many things. The most prominent voice you’ll hear in the freshman hallway is that of Laura Mason. This fact was no different for legendary folk singer and songwriter, Bob Dylan.

On March 20, 2011 Dylan’s tour bus broke down in front of DHS. As it was a Sunday no students were in the school but a few teachers were, including Mason. Dylan and his accompanying band went into the high school to find aid. As Dylan walked up the main lobby stairs he heard Mason discussing the American Revolution with her colleague Aaron Etherington. Dylan immediately followed her voice to her room where he then told her that she had a voice he needed to have on his newest album.

A contract was quickly drawn up, and Mason is now expecting to begin recording early in June. "I’m beyond excited! I’ve always been a big fan of Bob Dylan’s work and just thinking of the fact that I’ll become a part of it is unreal!" exclaimed Mason.

Mason’s voice isn’t the only thing that will be contributed to this new album though; she will also be playing the piano in all of the tracks. "I’ve always loved playing," stated Mason when asked about her experience with piano. "It’s always been a wonderful outlet for expression. It helped me win Miss Kentucky, and now it will help me win over stadiums filled with people!"

The album is predicted to be released in January of next year. DHS staff and students have already pre-ordered their copies, and you can to at: www.April-Fools-From-The-Log.com
