Trinity 2012 graduate Eric Zipperle was awarded a St. Matthews Chamber of Commerce Scholarship.
Zipperle, who has decided to major in criminal justice in college, aspires to serve the community as a law enforcement professional.
Zipperle was a member of Trinity’s Honors Program for four years and
earned honor roll citations multiple times. In addition to his studies, he played basketball for three years.
Zipperle's leadership skills were evidenced by his election as Spirit Captain. This position entailed organizing the cheering section of home and away athletic contests and motivating students to attend events. For his leadership and spirit-raising work, Zipperle received the Senior Leadership Award and a Shammy Award.
Zipperle volunteers as a Louisville Metro Police Department Explorer, getting to learn the basics of law enforcement. Through this endeavor, he has participated in "ride alongs" with several officers.
Maintaining a strong grade-point average, Zipperle participated in many volunteer activities and helps run a small lawn-service business during the summer.
