Every once in awhile we are blessed with a movie, that punches us in the heart, that’s beautifully put together and changes your life, then there are some movies that are just insanely fun. Project X is as good of a time that you’ll ever have watching a movie. This movie deserves an Oscar.
Hilarious, raunchy, and plain out insane, Project X makes you want to start a party as crazy as the one in the movie. It’s like watching everything that happened in The Hangover but you actually get to see what goes on, and on top of it all, it is just as funny and exciting as the 2009 blockbuster, and of course it is with producer Todd Phillips behind the scenes of both films.
Okay, so the movie starts off with Costa (played by Oliver Cooper) decides to throw a birthday party for his best friend Thomas (Thomas Mann) but both have complete different ideas of how the party should be. Thomas wanted the party to be, as he so eloquently put it, a “small swarie” Costa on the other hand wanted the hugest party ever to have been thrown. Though they butt heads they shared a goal. See these guys aren’t the most popular kids in school; they just wanted to be cool. But neither anticipated what would happen.
The invite list went from 50 to over 1500, and so came the chaos and insanity. A party that was supposed to be held in one house swallows up a whole neighborhood. It’s crazy, with news reports, police, dwarves in ovens, the movie is madness but you’ll watch the whole thing with a huge smile on your face. With all the chaos, property damage and good times Project X will stay cemented in your mind for days. For the kind of movie it is, Project X is cinema perfection.
