In 1991, Kodak released the first professional digital camera system (DCS), targeted at photojournalists. In 2000, digital cameras took off. People started using them and thought the digital camera was a lot better and had a lot more to offer.
With a digital camera you can look at your picture right after you take it, and with a regular camera you have to get the film developed. Digital cameras also offer a lot more room for pictures. With the digital camera you can keep your pictures for as long as you want them, and you can also pick and choose what pictures you want.
Chantelle Latte-Esse, manager at the Wal-Mart Photo Lab, she commented on each of these cameras. Latte-Esse has been working at Wal-Mart since it opened in 2003.
