Last season was a disappointing season for the girls golf team. The Firebirds never posted a team score.

They have already shown improvement this year after posting a team score.

“We have posted team scores this year and I think we could come close to placing as a team,” senior Katy Hoffman said.

Hoffman is a reason for the early season success with her career best 94 in the Firebird Invitational at Eagle Bend Golf Course, Free State’s second tournament of the year. With this early improvement, this year’s girls golf team is looking to do nothing but get better as this season progresses.
