Essi Superior at GLIPA regionals: Christina Essi's article recognized as BEST at BGSU competition

The Record and Amherstonian writers and designers earned 17 individual and staff awards during the 2006-2007 school year for their work in producting Steele High School's monthly newspaper and annual.

Christina Essi's Humourous Column about Chritmas stories was rated as Superior at the Great Lakes Interscholastic Press Associations spring awards in May.

The Amherstonian staff was third in the Grand Monthly compeition for its monthly submissions of work, while the Record was 6th.

Others recognized for individual writing awards are:

Nick Hurst (News), Ashley Curtis and Cassie Velez (Team Reporting), Megan Byrne (column).
