On May 17, 18, and the El Camino dancers led by instructor Feleciana Stevenson preformed this year’s annual dance show.

Many of the dances were choreographed by previous students such as Sarah Chinn, Melissa Gideon, Katherine Mar, and Mallory LaBro, while the remaining dances were choreographed by Mrs. Stevenson.

All dancers received their deserved applause, and particular dancers who preformed solo dances received standing ovations. Shannon Corcoran, Alex Camacho-Vance, and Ashley Ferguson performing lyrical dances, while Kelli O’Neill who performed tap stood out in the performances. Although each dance was moving, Ferguson’s dance was particularly touching, dedicating it to formed student Nina Garrison who passed away in 2005.

Familiar faces throughout the dance show included certain advanced dance students, and Justin Young, a Dance 3 student.

Specific dances that were especially enjoyed by many were the “Bollywood” dance, performed by Dance 2, “Beautiful People”, performed by advanced dance, and the “Senior Dance”, followed by a slideshow dedicated to the senior class of ’07.

On the last night of the dance show, each senior in the Advanced Dance class was given a rose by an Advanced Dance junior, who then talked about the senior leaving.

With the fact that there was such a wide variety of music and performances this year, most students who attended found the dance show to be both entertaining and interesting.
