Spring Break: A Time for Fun
By Ashley Wells
Spring break is a time of year where students get a break from school. Having a week off from school helps students and teachers relax, rest up, have a good time with friends and not worry about school work. Some schools get a week and other only get a couple days plus the weekend. When in college, college students go to beaches like Cancun and just have a really good time partying.
When in high school some students get their parents to take them to a ski resort or somewhere else that is fun. Autumn Hawley is going to Florida with a Young Life friend.
“I’m really excited about my trip to Florida. I got to meet some incredible people while doing work crew this summer and spring break is my time to hang out with them. It will be so much fun and I can’t wait. Normally you don’t get to really do anything for spring break because it’s so short, and I’m so happy that I get to go there,” said Hawley. She went to Florida last summer and she had a blast and she cannot wait till she gets to go again.
Many students just stay home and then they hang out with their friends, play video games, clean up their cars if they have any. During spring break they weather is usually warm and nice, so everyone loves to be outside during this time.
“I hope that the weather is nice so I can clean up my truck. I’m not going to go anywhere I just hoping to stay here and just hang out with my friends and have a good time not worrying about school work,” said Nick Overby
Since our spring break is so short students really do not have to time to go places. They have to go somewhere that is close to home so that they are not driving home the day before school starts back. This is a time to relax and just have a good time.
