There were no treats for Menchville Halloween night as Hampton blanked the Monarchs 70-0. The Hampton fans were thrilled with this homecoming victory at Darling stadium.
In the first quarter, Crabber running back, Derrick Fairley, gave Hampton a good start by recovering a Menchville fumble on the Monarchs third play of the game, which set up the first touchdown. Following the recovery Schuler scored twice for Hampton and Byron Baker scored three touchdowns. During the first two quarters Hampton steadily remained ahead of the Monarchs.
The Crabbers ended halftime with a 50-0 score. After halftime, throughout the third and the fourth quarter, the Crabbers allowed other players to have playing time. Tyrod Taylor replaced Roberts during the third quarter as quarterback. The Crabbers had 13 first downs and the defense had five sacks and a safety during the game. The Crabbers took their place as number one after this win against the Menchville and are ready to take on Woodside November 8, 2003 at Todd Stadium. That game starts at 7 p.m.
