How to Train Your Dragon: Best Movie Ever By: Dustin Pidcock How to Train Your Dragon is one of the best, animated movies I’ve ever seen. The movie came out on the 26th of March. I saw it the day it came out with one of my friends. The movie had really good animation and effects. The detail in the dragons was very good. As if they were right there in jumping distance. The reason it was such a good movie was either the $165,000,000 budget or excellent animators and actors. The story is about a young Viking boy named Hiccup. He is not like the other Vikings. The other Vikings are big, strong, and brutal. On the other hand, Hiccup is small, skinny, and weak. One night, when the village he lived in was under attack by dragons, he used an invention he made to shoot down a rare dragon called a Night Fury. He went to go tell his father about it but his father didn’t believe him. Hiccup was then sent home, but he left his house through the back door. He went to go find where the dragon he shot had landed. After a long period of searching he found the dragon. He said to himself that he would cut the dragons heart out and bring it to his father to prove that he could kill a dragon. He pulled out his knife and was about to kill it. But, the Night Fury stared at him with its big green eyes and Hiccup gave in, the dragon prevented Hiccup from killing him. Eventually, Hiccup gained the Night Fury’s trust. He then named the dragon Toothless, because Toothless could hide his teeth inside his gums. He kept him a secret for a while but then he noticed that part of Toothless’s tail was broken off so Toothless couldn’t fly away. Hiccup made a new invention that he thought would help Toothless fly. He started to ride on Toothless. Later on, Astrid (a girl Hiccup had a crush on) began to get suspicious about how good Hiccup was at taming dragons. She was getting mad at him also because she used to be at the top of her class in the dragon slaying training. Astrid followed Hiccup to where he was hiding Toothless. When she found Toothless, Hiccup tried to convince her that all they know about dragons was wrong. I don’t want to spoil the ending. You’ll just have to see the movie yourself. I personally give this movie a 10 out of 10. It was the best animated move of all time in my opinion.
