This year at Northwestern Regional Middle School the boys soccer team had a fantastic season. It just so happened that the team went 14-2. Thanks to the coaches the team played amazing and should have went 16-0!

They started the season strong about 9-0, but then the 7th grade team lost to a poor offensive Thomaston team. AT about 10-1 the red 8th grade team played against the undefeated Canton team, losing by one goal. However, they had five shots on goal in the last five minutes! Later in the season the 8th graders went to Canton and beat Canton in an intense 2-1 victory. Also, the 8th grade defeated the “great, amazing” Har-Bur team in a shut out of 2-0 and then a 3-1 chilling win in about 35-40 degree weather.

Now, the 8th grader players are moving to the high school team next year, we should have a very good high school JV team. With a striking offensive line, a midfield that stops just about everything, and a rock solid defensive line (including goalie) we should have a promising year!
