On Wednesday, January 10, documentarian Keith Beauchamp focuses on the 1955 case of Emmett Till, a 14-year-old Chicago teen, who while visiting relatives in Mississippi, was murdered for whistling at a white woman in a store. The film, "The Untold Story of Emmett Till," will start at 7pm in the Hendrix Theatre on the ECU campus.
On Thursday, January 11, Beauchamp will present "Race in the South: What the Civil Rights Movement Did Not Accomplish." The film will start at 7pm in the Hendrix Theatre, followed by a reception in the Multipurpose Room of Mendenhall Student Center.
