Star Wars the Force Unleashed

For Nintendo? Wii?, Rated Teen, 8.5

By Kristen Friese

I gave Star Wars the Force Unleashed an 8.5 because, along with other reasons, it has good graphics for a Star Wars game but really bad graphics for a Wii game. The graphics would get a 10/10 compared to other Star Wars games, but would probably get only 5/10 compared to other Wii games. These graphics are probably the worst for Wii yet, but the best for any Star Wars games. Another reason it went down from 10 is because it’s super short. There are only about 13 levels. But other then that, this is a great game.

In the game you are Darth Vader’s secret apprentice. After a series of events you become a Jedi instead of a Sith. The storyline was so good, that it was even approved by George Lucas. Out of about 100 Star Wars books, movies, and video games (created by fans) he approved about ten of them. In Star Wars the Force Unleashed you use the numchuck for your force powers and the Wii? remote to swing your lightsaber. For your lightsaber there are five basic movements: horizontal, vertical, the two diagonals, and jabbing your opponent. In the game there also is a two player made where you can play your friends and use all of the force powers you can use in the storyline. In two player mode you have Jedis and Siths from the Star Wars trilogies. Most of the characters have different stats. In two player mode you can also get unleashed force which means that all of your force powers are as strong as they can get and you cannot run out of force. I don’t normally like Star Wars video games, but this is one of my favorite video games (I own about seventy). I recommend this to anyone who owns a Wii.
