Seventh grader Mary Cate Grimes will represent RMS at the county spelling bee this month after winning the school competition.
The runner up, eighth grader Julia Groce, will be the alternate.
Mrs. McGinnis, curriculum administrator said, "All of our contestants did an outstanding job and all should be commended on their spelling efforts."
The winner of the county competition will go on to regional and state competitions. The top speller in each state will then go on to the national spelling be held in Washington, DC and televised on ESPN.
