EAGLES "JAM" AT YORK

Coach Jet Turner and his 2005 football team opened the fall football season at the Herald Jamboree in York. Playing their arch-rival in the second quarter, the Blue Eagles lit up the stadium. On the second play from scrimmage, Rashawn Lowery scampered untouched for 77 yards to put the Eagles up 7-0. The Eagles played their wing T offense to near perfection scoring two more times and controlling the tempo and clock for much of the night. Cort Hall, Chris Douglas, Josh Adams, Latarus Douglas, Boo Walker, Mack Crawford, and Adrian Lowery led the offense. Lowery scored the second touchdown from 7 yards out, while Josh Adams ran in the third score.

York managed two scores, once off a Clover miscue deep in Eagle territory and once in the second stanza.

The CHS combined JV and Varsity Cheerleading squad won the visiting team spirit award. That was no surprise as the cheerleaders rocked the stands from beginning to end. The varsity squad also gave a glimpse of their competition talent when Coach Christy Wilson's girls set-up four stunt groups in the second period and lifted four different flyers into scorpion and arabesque poses.

It was a magical night for the Blue Eagles. Catch the excitement in Clover when the Blue Eagles host Ashbrook at home on August 26.
