Join: The easiest way to support your PTA is to join! Membership is $5 per person and anyone can join: parents, grandparents, teachers, neighbors, and community members – anyone with a vested interest in your child’s education. When you join YMS PTA, you are also a member of the State and National PTA and have access to many of their resources thru their websites and newsletters. By becoming a member you are not obligating yourself as a volunteer. Membership envelopes are available in the School Office and on the PTA bulletin board.

If you are still unsure about joining you can visit their website at http://yorkcountyschools.org/yms/pta/pta.htm or stay tuned on your y-line for upcoming meetings or fundraisers and events. If you are not signed up for y-line you ask someone in the main office and sign up!

New this year is:

Boxtops for Education

New this year at YMS is Boxtops for Education. Cut and send in the box tops coupon from General Mill's products. Boxtops can be found on almost 100 different products in the grocery store. You can help by clipping and sending in boxtops and/or shopping on-line at the Boxtops Marketplace. In addition, if you sign up as a supporter of YMS on the Boxtops for Education website, you will receive coupons, sweepstakes opportunities, recipes, parent information and more.

Farm Fresh ABC's Program allows schools (K-12) to save their Farm Fresh receipts and redeem them for FREE educational equipment. Remember to save those receipts and send them to school with your student.



The PTA has a lot of great fundraisers and activities.Remember; if you join the PTA you are not obligating yourself as a volunteer.
