“I’m not a singer, but I play one on TV,” is something Tyler Hilton, star of “One Tree Hill” could say about his path into the music industry.
Last Wednesday, the aspiring musician did a brief set of his tunes on the bridge in the Commons during all lunch periods.
“It was a little loud, but  his music was decent,” senior Matt Knipp said.
In late September, activities director Kent Horstmann received an e-mail from Cantillon Entertainment Groups asking if the district would be interested in hosting Hilton at the high school.
Hilton says he has wanted to become a singer since his childhood. It was Elvis who inspired him to start singing.
He was a singer before his role in “One Tree Hill” and says that his acting career helped him gather fans to boost his singing career.
He tries to practice once a day but, because he is currently on tour, he plays a lot anyway.
“I am always aspiring to be better than myself,” says Hilton.
