Miya Blunt, our 2008-2009 class president, plans to run for other elections such as the high school homecoming and being school president of the student body. She thinks that she won this election because she wants to combine fun with education. One of her goals is to make OJHS the best school for the eighth grade, since this is our last year of junior high school. She said she chose to run for cub council because “I want to show the students that a difference could be made.”

Some of her promises are to have entertaining and rewarding activities available for everyone. As president for OJHS she says that she wouldn’t say that she was the perfect person for president, but she does consider herself as qualified to represent the eighth grade student body. Miya said that she is going to be optimistic and says, “I will reach the goals I set for OJHS.”
