American Flag
Veterans Day is an annual American holiday that honors American war veterans. This day always occurs on November 11. President Woodrow Wilson first announced

an Armistice Day for November 12, 2009.  “Armistice Day is the anniversary of the symbolic end of World War I on 11 November 1918.”Then the U.S. Congress passed a resolution seven years later on June 4, 1926 requested the president observe November 11 with appropriate ceremonies.  In 1953, an Emporia, Kansas shoe store owner named Al King had the idea to expand Veterans Day to celebrate all veterans, not just those who served in World War I. He began a campaign to turn Armistice Day into "All" Veterans Day. So now Veterans Day celebrates and thanks all living and non-living war veterans.

We are all very thankful for these veterans that served our country.
