Have you ever been bullied or know someone who has?
Well, as in the recent news of the death of Phoebe Prince’s death, bullying can eventually lead to suicide. Bullying is very hurtful whether verbal or physical because either way it is violence. It affects many students around the world by affecting their health, schoolwork, and mental health problems. The main reason people are bullied is because of their appearance or social status. Discrimination and bullying for whatever the reason is unacceptable and should be stopped everywhere.  Even though most of the time adults or teachers don’t always know about the bullying problems, students in the school usually do know about it.  So if you know of anyone that is bullying other students, or is getting bullied themselves, you should report it to whomever you know can solve the problem (ex: counselor, principal, teachers, or other adults). Also, do not be afraid to speak up. You can tell someone anonymously if you are afraid that you might put yourself in danger.   Sitting back and watching someone being bullied makes you just as guilty as the bully, himself.
