Humanitas Club is an organization of students from the Humanitas academy that prepares future events and fundraises for scholarships, fieldtrips, banquets, jackets, and graduation.
The Humanitas Club is fundraising to prepare for their much awaited banquet and to be able to have Humanitas sweatshirts. Right now the club is trying their best to find sponsors and fundraising opportunities to help them.
“For now we’re selling discount cards and we’re planning to do Mulligan’s and Chuck E. Cheese’s for fund raisers,” senior and president Kristine Barlis said.
The club advisor, Mrs. Unzueta, stresses the need to find the club’s identity and to really get going with the fundraisers so as to have the projects and their plans done.
“Right now we’re planning other fund raisers,” senior and president Kristine Barlis said.
The club has around about fifteen active members and the officers are hoping for more support from their fellow Humanitas students. They encourage more people from their academy to be involve in activities because it’s not only going to help the club but would also benefit them.
“Our club needs more participation from our fellow members, whether it be upperclassmen or the newbies,” senior and secretary Jennessee Maye Lustina said.
Aside from the fundraisers, the club doesn’t have any upcoming events yet, but they are welcoming Humanitas students to help them out in doing their fundraisers and to keep the ball rolling to assure that things are settled.
Humanitas students, if you want to have the best experience and want to put your ideas on how to improve the club don’t hesitate to join. For anyone who’s interested to join, go to room H29 on Fridays at lunch.
