Valentine’s Day is mostly popular to those that can share this holiday with a significant other or those odd hopeless romantics out there reading Twilight. Valentine’s Day is also popular for gaining the courage to ask that special someone to be yours for a day.

Everyone wants to be loved because they want that special someone to share that wonderful feeling with. Valentine’s Day can get lonely and everyone that’s desperate wants or needs to find love on Valentine’s Day.

Nine out of ten students from Carson High School said they want to be loved and that love is something that people just wait around for. A majority of students need love in their lives because they want that reassurance of happiness.

No one really knows what love is, how to receive love, or how to give love. People use Valentine’s Day to show or find out what love is. Honestly, life is not like a cartoon or movies where people just fall in love- it's more than that. It’s not like Twilight where all of a sudden the heartthrob and the new girl fall in love and all of a sudden she decides she wants to become a vampire just like him. That is never going to happen in real life, yet people hope this happens Valentine’s Day.

Everyone has his or her fantasies. This romantic festival is only for one day; so if people make fun of you for having a wishful valentine's day, don’t worry. It will soon be over.
