Now that the school year is over, you might want to have a lot of fun going from the beach or just chilling at home with the air-conditioning. Whatever you do you don’t need to go to school at 7:00 A.M. At home you can do a verity of things.
One of my favorite things to do in the summer is go fishing. A really good fishing spot is the Conowingo Dam. It is about 27 min from Patterson Mill. You can catch Perch, Shad, Catfish, Carp, and Rockfish. There are also eels so be careful. Any type of bait works in my experience but shrimp does work really well. The license you will need is Fresh water license or A Maryland tidal license. If you are younger than 16 you do not need a license to fish.
You can swim. The pool of Box hill will be opening up May 26 this year according to their website. While pools are fun to go swim in the ocean is only about 3 hours away. Mark Rybcynski says that there is a boardwalk where the end is “like a small amusement park”
You could also do what Eric Vrydagh does which is “sleep, watch moves, play video games” That is good to do to. Just lay sleep in go outside.
The most fun in my mind is ice cream. You can go to a verity of places. There is like Blooms Broom, Emmerton Snowball, and Rita’s. Blooms Broom prides itself on homemade ice cream. There prices are good for the quality that you get. Then there is the family owned Emmerton Snowballs. They have good prices. Then there is Rita’s there Italian ice is really good even though they are a little expensive.
Remember whatever you do it is your summer so do it. Have fun and laugh. This is Ryan Dickman from the Patterson Press saying have a great summer!!!!!!
