As the fall season rolls in, men’s clothing needs a change, and guys have to prepare for going to school, cookouts, football games and Homecoming. The fall season can be a challenging time to dress when you’re living in Springfield, MO where you can start the day at 80 degrees and have it drop to 60 by noon.

Luckily, there are a lot of new trends that won’t break the bank in the line of shirts, jackets, T-shirts, pants, shoes and formal wear.

One of the most important things in a guy’s wardrobe is his shirts and jackets. Jackets are essential in making a transition into fall from wearing T-shirts everyday during summer. Brightly colored western and flannel shirts are on the rise and you can find a great selection for under $50 at Urban Outfitters.

In the line of jackets there is the always-popular Northface brand that you can order online at ww.thenorthface.com. Cardigans are the next huge trend. Brands like Obey, Volcom and Hurley offer a variety of options at lower prices and can be found at Buckle or Pac Sun.

With the need to layer for the colder weather, guys still should have great T-shirts to go along with jackets.

The V-neck trend is at its high point right now and plain colors and horizontal stripes are grabbing hold.

Also throwback sports T-shirts are now featured for all sports and show a classier look than wearing your jersey everywhere. Brands like Retro Sport, Student Body, Junk Food and Red Jacket offer all teams for all sports and range from $20-$40.

Band shirts from hip hop artists like Lil’ Wayne, Kanye West, Notorious B.I.G. and Tupac have made their mark and are carried by stores like Hot Topic.

Another summer transition that has to be made is from shorts to jeans and pants. The skinny jeans trend is fading out with normal non-baggy jeans coming in. Stores and brands that offer a wide selection of this new trend are American Eagle, Pac Sun, Levi’s 510, and MEK.

However the skinny look is making the jump to pants with colors ranging from khaki to dark blue. You can find a wide range of choices at Urban Outfitters.

A big part of fashion for all seasons is shoes. Shoes that will be popular for the rest of the year are Adidas’ Top Ten, Puma’s My-36 and the classic Puma Roma, which come in a variety of colors.

Along with casual shoes, men’s loafers are becoming popular because they can hold up between casual and dress. A wide selection can be found at Macy’s.

With new trends of casual clothes, there are a lot of new formal looks which will come in handy with Homecoming around the corner. The Kanye West 808 look is growing along with the European-English look of stars like Jude Law and Daniel Craig.

The popular color for this year is gray in all shades. Express features a lot of the new looks and popular colors along with the bright color dress shirts its known for.
