The Lady Vikes soccer team played Wadsworth at home Sept. 28 and lost 4-1. The girls lost with a score of 2-1 when they traveled to Perry Sept. 30. On Senior Night, Oct. 5, they played Cuyahoga Falls and tied 0-0. Oct. 7 they traveled to McKinley and defeated the Bulldogs 10-0. -Kelsea Daniluk

The girls tennis team finished their season out strong with a record of 20-2 for the whole season. On Friday they won the Federal League title for the second year in a row. The team finished as runner-up at the Lexington Invitational. The girls competed at sectionals on Oct. 5. -Jenn Shaw

The boys soccer team has won their last three games and are about to begin the playoff run. Recently, the Vikes defeated Canfield 3-0. Seniors Chase Knowles and Justin Rebellino along with junior Shawn Rambaud each scored once. The boys then cruised to a 3-0 victory against Louisville. Knowles, Rambaud and junior Marcus Harrigan all put the ball in the back of the net. In addition, the boys continued their win streak with a 5-0 victory against McKinley. Rambaud, senior Joey Rambacher and junior Zach Taneyhill scored once and Knowles scored twice. Their current record is 8-4-2. -Clint Yoos

Boys cross country team traveled to Marlington and won the invitational. They placed 16th at Tiffin. The boys placed fourth at Boardman. The Vikes traveled to the Cloverleaf Invite; they came home with a victory. The boys varsity won the Stark County Championship and JV placed third. The top runners are Tyler Stackpole, Alec Hernandez, Matt Roshak, Parker Queen, Tommy Lewis, Michel Kopko and Sergei Cribben. -Liz Duff

The girls cross country team competed at the Stark County Cross Country Championships this past weekend and won the meet for the third consecutive year. For the varsity team Allison Peare placed second, Erin Garfield placed third, Megan Monte placed sixth, Sarah Tirrell placed seventh, Kelsey Peare placed ninth and Jillian Roth placed eleventh. The JV girls also won and took the top eight places. Amy Stephens won the open race. This Saturday the team will travel to Worthington for the Les Eisenhart Cross Country Invitational. -Jenn Shaw
