It’s winter and that means and geese are migrating south and also being hunted. Hunter are setting up their blinds in the fields and ready to roll. Hunter Jonathon Dean was excited for this year’s season, "I was upset when deer season ended, and goose hunting is fun and its right after deer season." All hunters need to go goose or duck hunting is a duck stamp which costs fifteen dollars and can be purchased at any post office. However, it is helpful to have blinds and many decoys. "The only problem I think to goose hunting is making sure that they don’t see you and getting them to land," says Dean.

While out in the fields hunters may see something other than just the typical Canadian goose. This year hunters are seeing more and more snow geese which is unusual. "It’s unbelievable I have never seen so many snow geese in one day they are just everywhere," says Dean. Snow geese are allowed to be killed and they have the same bag limit as Canadian geese, and hunters may have a good chance of getting a few snow geese this year. "I hope I get a few snow geese this year because me or my dad have never shot one and I think it could be interesting," says Dean. This could be the chance for goose hunters everywhere to take several snow geese, so good luck to all hunters.
