Two senior volleyball players end the season with goodbyes. -
The girls’ volleyball season had its high and low notes, but the seniors ended with joyous memories.

Senior volleyball player Jenny Peters said, “I had a lot of fun with my fellow teammates and I think that we had a lot of potential, but we just couldn't all pull it together at the same time. I am really going to miss all the fun times that me and the other seniors had together for the last six years.”

While the team may have struggled through some of its matches, and ended with a conference record of 1-7, the hopes for next season are positive.

Senior Sam Gruber stated,” This season had a lot of ups and downs. We were a pretty good team, but we just didn't know how to pull it together when we needed to. I'm proud of the seniors for not giving up even when things got difficult and frustrating. I love those senior girls and I'm glad I had the opportunity to play with them.”

The Cougars were led by many talented players. Brittany Narges ended the season with 127 kills and 48 errors. Stephanie Ninnemann also led with 43 kills and 16 errors. The seniors really shined with Sam Gruber taking 34 kills and 16 errors, while Jenny Peters had a total of 23 kills and 20 errors to end the season. Another leading senior was Callie Galligan who had 20 kills and 14 errors.

While this 2007 season may not have been the greatest in history, for the girls that played it was filled with memories and great successes.
