Pretending like I know how to dance in front of other students who think they belong in music videos isn’t exactly my idea of a good time, but, overall, prom 2009 was fun.
I feel that Student Council worked really hard to make prom special for everyone because the Venue of Scottsdale was ideal for the event and the sound was flawless, though the DJ only felt the need to play the top 10 countdown from MTV, of course.
I didn’t end up staying at the venue very long due to other plans afterward, but it definitely gave me some hype throughout the night and gave me a chance to hang out with some people I don’t see so often.
One of the best things about prom was the energy in the room; it felt like everyone was having a good time and got along with each other fine.
I’m still sort of confused on the idea of Lil’ Wayne or E-40 having anything to do with the theme of “Once Upon a Time,” but I guess that doesn’t really matter considering that everyone had a good time and danced anyway.
I’m glad I went to my senior prom with the friends that I did, and I’m glad that I got to have the experience that I did, but I’m also glad that I never have to endure another one.
