Four minutes and 23 seconds were left on the clock. The game against the Agua Fria Owls was tied 35-35. The Owls scored a field goal, bringing the game to 38-35. It looked like the Mustangs were going to lose another game.

The clock turned 13.9 seconds, and the game was still 38-35. The Mustangs were prepared to go down fighting. The ball was thrown to one teammate, then another. The clock ran down to zero, but the football team kept playing. Finally, one Mustang took the ball and ran to the end zone. It looked like he wasn’t going to be stopped. The other team swarmed around him, tackling him.

The Homecoming game ended with the score still 38-35. The Mustangs were three yards short of a winning touchdown.
