For the month of September, Ms. Safka selected Dylan Helstern in the 6th grade. To earn student of the month, Dylan always picked up his absent work and finished it on time. His favorite song is “A Milli” by Lil Wayne. He likes gym class and using the Smart Board.

Nicole Reed, Mrs. McCarthy's choice in 7th grade, earned student of the month by applying herself to all of her assignments, participating in class activities, and studying for all her tests and quizzes. Her favorite movie is the Pirates of the Caribbean series. She likes science, and her favorite teacher is Mrs. McCarthy because she makes school tons of fun. "Mrs. McCarthy's personality lightens up the room, and you never feel pressured in her class," Nicole said.

8th grade teacher Mr. Jurinek selected Bob Kametas. He earned student of the month by just being himself and being polite to his teachers and peers. Bob said that "all [his] teachers are nice and that [he's] grateful that they are willing to teach to the fullest." His favorite subjects this year are Social Studies and Science.
