Does Valley High School have enough security, or do we need more? As every school, Valley has its problems. So, should cops stay longer after school and stop people from fighting? Not only do kids start fights after school, but also during school.

“I think we are safe enough. Sometimes I think there is too much security. They should be placed in different areas. Not all in one spot,” says Anna Quiroz. Anna, a sophomore, says that, overall, she feels safe.

The biggest problem is that the cops are almost always together. They should spread around and look for any problems that are going on to better take care of the kids here in this school. As on any campus, there is the potential of students being involved in smoking, sexual harassment, alcohol and drugs. This could happen before school, after school, while they are ditching or even during school or in the bathroom.

“I think we need to have our cops stay after school longer, so no problems or no other bad things could happen to our school,”says Adrienne Barboa a freshman here. These are some reasons our cops need to protect our school more, but the question is… are they taking enough responsibility at our school?
