Clinton and Obama are still fighting for the Democratic Party bid; as long as it's not McCain, does it really matter? -

The 2008 Presidential Candidate Electons have political leaders Hillary Clinton, John McCain, and Barack Obama fighting to represent the red, white, and blue. McCain is the candidate for the Republican Party, and Obama and Clinton are still in a close race to be the Democratic Party candidate (http://www.cnn.com/election/2008).

Even though you have to be 18 and a legal US citizen in order to vote, I could easily see one particular candidate sittingin the Oval Office running our country. It would be someone who in my opinion supports funding for schools, ends the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, agrees that healthcare should be affordable for all, and speaks out against further damage to our environment.

Barack Obama is my choice for president. I can see him as a good leader for our country. He is a candidate who will listen to all issues and follow through with his promises. He supports schools and education, and he does not want to see children in failing schools or left behind. According to Votechooser.com (http://votechooser.com), he cares about the issue of providing affordable healthcare to all citizens. He also wants to find alternative energy sources to help out our environment (http://www.barackobama.com). He seems to follow through on his message of change that we can believe in.

Hillary Clinton has some experience about the White House from her husband, former President Bill Clinton. If she won the election and became president, I'd be proud of her because I do agree with her ideas. She feels the troops in Iraq should be withdrawn soon, and government should decrease their wasteful spending. Her experience as a senator (New York) will help her go far in the elections. She will be a big part of our government for years to come, whether or not she's president.

I do believe that Obama is the best fit for being President of the United States; he's a good leader, but Clinton would also be a good choice. I feel comfortable with either candidate; even now, the race for president is too close to call.

We'll just have to wait and see what will happen next.
