The drama department, under the direction of Dr. Stafford, has some great plays lined up as the school year comes to a close.
The 8th grade is doing the play "The Outsiders", based on S.E. Hinton's popular book dealing with the lives of young people. The main character, Ponyboy, is a creative and original thinker. Told from his point of view, we find out more about him, his working-class brothers (Sodapop and Darry), and how their lives change after a major fight with the rival Socs (upper-class students) once it goes over the line.
Antic Springs, being done by the 7th grade, is the story of three couples. They have a great idea of going on a picnic, but their plans turn into a major catastrophe!
The 6th grade is providing pre-show and intermission entertainment. Both should be great plays to enjoy, so make it a point to come out on May 2nd and 3rd and support our students!
