1) Detroit Lions - Mathew Stafford – Quarterback out of Georgia has a great arm and can read the field easily and has the experience to make it in the NFL
2) Saint Louis – Jason Smith – Offensive tackle out of Baylor used to be a tight-end so is athletic but lacks the technique as a tackle that he can develop
3) Kansas City – Tyson Jackson – Defensive End out of LSU ability to stop the run makes him a perfect fit in Kansas City’s new 3-4 defense
4) Seattle – Aaron Curry – Linebacker out of Wake Forest is efficient at stopping the run but is not as smooth at pass coverage
5) New York Jets (From Cleveland) – Mark Sanchez – Quarterback out of Southern California is the prototype quarterback according to NFL scouts. He is taken later than Stafford due to his inexperience with only 16 starts.
6) Cincinnati – Andre Smith – Offensive tackle out of Alabama’s stock fell as he was suspended for Alabama’s bowl game and then left the combine early
7) Oakland – Darrius Heyward-Bay – Wide receiver out of Maryland has the speed to grab the Raider’s attention but there is some question about him being drafted ahead of Michael Crabtree
8) Jacksonville – Eugene Monroe – Offensive tackle out of Virginia has nice footwork and knows how to bock downfield
9) Green Bay – B.J. Raji – Defensive tackle out of Boston College can be a complete dominant force in the run game and holds down the defensive front
10) San Francisco – Michael Crabtree – Wide receiver out of Texas Tech is not extremely fast but knows how to go get the ball and use his body efficiently
