The Mid Mon track classic took place on April 27, 2009.  The classic is Mon Valley’s premier track event.  This year’s classic had 8 participating teams.  The schools included were Ringgold, Belle Vernon, California, Chaleroi, Monessen, Bentworth, Beth Center, and Elizabeth Forward.   The event was very competitive this year as it is with every other year.  This year’s team winners were Belle Vernon in the boys and Chaleroi in the girls.  Although Ringgold boys or girls did not take home the team 1^st place prizes they did have many tremendous performers.  Medalists for the boys were Rick Douglas, Matt Myers, Jared Suppo, Keith Doleno, John Sendek, Brian Johnson, Brian Klebanski, Drake Sphar, and tom Brletich.  Medalists for the girl’s were Jackie Barner, Lacey Kazior, Georgia Kennedy, Ashleigh Lawrence, Katie Cramer, Lindsay Volker, and Jenna Lander.  Overall the meet was very successful as it is every year.
