The Pittsburgh Steelers made another incredible run throughout the playoffs last year. The Steelers were lucky enough to win their division and gain a first round bye in the playoffs. They defeated the San Diego Chargers, Baltimore Ravens, and the Arizona Cardinals. In the Super Bowl game two huge plays really stood out above all others. James Harrison intercepted a pass and returned it 98 yards for a touchdown. Santonio Holmes also made one of the most spectacular catches in Super Bowl history. In 2008-2009, the Steelers made one of the greatest Super Bowl runs ever. The begging of the 2009-2010 season the expectations of the Steelers are huge. Most of the city of Pittsburgh and the whole country is expecting another powerhouse team this year. Although the pre-season is not a good indicator of how the team will be this year, the Steelers went 3-1. Starting off the regular season with the tough Tennessee Titans was a difficult challenge. The game was tied 7-7 and went into overtime. Jeff Reed was called in to make a clutch kick to give the Steelers the win. In week 2 the Steelers faced the Chicago Bears, who have an injured interior defense. The game was sloppy and things just didn’t go right for the Steelers. Jeff Reed who was the hero of the previous week choked on two very important field goals. If Reed would have made those two kicks, the Steelers would have come out with a win. Even though Reed was the hero of week one, he was the antagonist of week two. Reed is normally so reliable in any situation but he had one of his worst games against the Bears. Overall the Steelers should have a very successful season
