Twelve Germans students and their sponsors arrived April 20 from Bebra, Germany.
Their trip included visits to Kansas City and Worlds of Fun. During their stay, they lived with families of Jeff West patrons.
Philipp Becker, one of the German exchange students, enjoyed his stay very much because he thought everything was so big. He also liked the food and that everybody was so friendly and nice.
He had never been to America before, but he said he would definitely like to come back again.
“Here, it’s awesome,” Becker said.
He lived with the family of sophomore Cece Liby.
One of the female exchange students, Julia Eckert, liked the landscape in Kansas and the big, fatty burgers. Food, in general, was one of the many things most of the Germans liked.
.“There are a lot of different fast food restaurants in America,” exchange student Jakob Noll said.
Exchange student Daniel Gebhardt had cars on his mind when they headed toward America. He likes the fact that American teens can drive around on their own and without any supervision.
After the group from Bebra left Jeff West they went to Chicago for three days, before they make their way back to Germany.
