Everyone expects prom to be the best part of high school - getting all dressed up and going out with all your friends. Let’s just say my prom was nothing like that.
My mom ordered the flowers for prom to match my dress, which was hot pink and white. When I went to pick up the flowers they were light pink with purple ribbon. How do you get those colors out of hot pink and white?
After that I went to go get my hair done at Regis in the mall. My appointment was at 11:30 but I got there a little early. When I went to check in the lady told me that my name wasn’t on the list. I was like are you kidding me? She pretty much told me that there is no way I could get my hair done. Luckily my old neighbor was working there and somehow arranged me to get my hair done.
My mom was laughing and said that the girl who was probably going to do my hair was going to look like a freak or do a really bad job or something. When the girl walked out she had really short hair that was dyed numerous colors. She ended up doing a really good job, though.
Then I went to get my make-up done. The lady telling me how she was so good at doing make-overs and how she has been doing it for 40 years. She even told me that she did the first lady Mrs. Bush’s make up. I was like - "Okay...Just do my make-up please." By the time I got out of there I looked like a clown with make-up caked to my face. I ended up having to redo some of my make-up.
Once we finally left dinner and got to prom I had eaten so much I felt like I was going to pop out of my dress. I was so ready to leave and change.
The next morning I spent like minutes in the bathroom trying to get all that make-up off and all the hair spray out of my hair. It was no fun at all.
